The award-winning brand has launched its first ever chocolate spread.
Plant-based cheese giant Violife has launched a new delicious vegan chocolate spread.
The Violife Cocospread is described by the brand as ‘deliciously creamy, smooth and fresh’.
While the velvety smooth consistency reminds us more of a vegan dessert, the spread has an amazing chocolate flavour but only a quarter of sugar, half the fat and fewer calories compared with other spreads.
Violife Cocospread
According to Violife, the spread is made with coconut oil, brown sugar, dried banana powder, olive extract and cocoa powder. It is B12 fortified and is free from palm oil, nuts, soy, gluten, artificial preservatives and GMOs.
The recipe is perfect for those with allergies and watching their weight as it provides 235kcal per 100g.
The Upfield brand recommends enjoying the versatility of the spread on toast, crackers, pancakes, ice cream and waffles or use it for baking cakes, tarts, muffins, and brownies.
The Violife Cocospread is also certified vegan, Halal and Kosher, making it even more inclusive.
While there is no news whether the product will be stocked in supermarkets, you can buy the delicious Cocospread now from online retailers. According to popular food blog Vegan Food UK, the Little Shop of Vegans in Norwich is currently selling the Cocospread for £2.59.
