Supermarket giant Woolworths has unveiled its vegan Christmas fare, which includes a plant-based roast, vegan desserts and ice creams, and fruit mince pies.
In a bid to partake in the rising vegan festive spirit, Woolworths has announced an extensive plant-based Christmas range including gluten-free options available in store from Monday, December 16.
Speaking on the new range, Paul Harker, Woolworths Director of Fresh said: “We have seen double-digit growth in demand for vegan products and have been working hard to create even more choice and variety for our customers this Christmas.”

Customers can choose a $12 ‘pea-protein’ plant-based ‘roast’ made with herbs and spices, cranberry and orange glaze.

The chain also has a range of sweet delicacies, including a vegan chocolate and hazelnut mudcake for $20 and a vegan handmade Christmas pudding using brandy, fruit and spices for just $14.

Customers can enjoy a plant-based 1L tub of coconut cream-based ice cream for just $8 in three delectable flavours: cookies & creme, vanilla bean and chocolate.

“Whether it’s due to a food allergy or because our customers want to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diet, we want to make it as easy as possible for them to enjoy delicious festive food.
“We are pleased to offer our customers more choices than ever to pick up plant-based roasts, mince, burger patties, sausages for their Christmas meals or barbecue from their local Woolworths,” added Harker.
