Morrisons has brought back its giant 1kg avocados which are three times the size of a normal avocado.
Launched last year, the second batch of Morrisons super-sized avocados are back on the supermarket’s shelves.
The fruit is named- Morrisons Giant Torres Avocados and cost £2 each.
Morrisons explains the massive crop takes an entire year to grow and together with its Argentina partner, Horacio Frias, the brand takes extreme care to monitor crop conditions and harvest time and techniques to ensure the best quality, creamy avocados.
The giant fruit measures up to 25cm in diameter and has a 70% flesh to 30% stone ratio, ensuring customers enjoy three times more creamy goodness than a standard-size avocado.
Morrisons’ avocado expert James Turner said: “Despite their size, these avocados still have a distinctive creamy flavor.
“The skin turns from green to black when they’re ripe, so you’ll always know when they’re ready to eat.
“Because avocados are so popular right now, we think these will fly off the shelves.”
The Giant Torres Avocados will go on sale from Monday, November 12 till stock lasts.
