At Christmas, many vegans will sit around a table filled with meat and dairy products. There are many different coping strategies for vegans during the holidays. Some will passionately discuss their vegan values with friends and family without blinking an eye. Others will bite their tongues, quietly endure interrogations and avoid contentious topics to reduce the chance of family conflicts.
But for a vegan, what if you’re hosting Christmas dinner and one of your guests brings a dead pig to the festivities? Well that’s exactly what happened in one vegan household. The meat-eater posted about the experience on Reddit after claiming he was branded a ‘Nazi’ by the vegan host. Many vegans jumped to support the host’s right to ban meat from his house.
