“This partnership with MorningStar Farms brings the well-known and loved Pringles flavour into the plant-based space with chik’n fries, a fun and delicious mashup.”

Major plant-based food brand MorningStar Farms is set to debut “first-of-its-kind” vegan chik’n fries.

The veggie brand, which is owned by global food giant Kellogg’s, has teamed with potato chip maker Pringles for the new product.

The all new MorningStar Farms Chik’n Fries will be available in two delicious Pringles flavours: Original and Scorchin’ Cheddar Cheeze.

The original combines notes of chicken broth flavor with Pringles’ signature potato-crisp taste, whereas the Scorchin’ Cheddar Cheeze is savory, salty, and packed with the perfect balance of cheddar flavour and heat.

Described as ‘irresistibly dippable finger food’, the crispy golden fries are made with 100% plant-based protein, containing 11g of protein and 41% less fat than the leading homestyle chicken fries.

The ready-to-eat finger foods only require heating in the oven, microwave, or air fryer and can be enjoyed with honey mustard dip, ranch dressing, or any favourite sauce for the ultimate plant-based flavour experience.

‘Plant-based innovation’

Danielle Rappoport is Kellogg’s Marketing Director for Plant-Based Protein. She said: “Given our mission to bring more people into the plant-based protein space, partnering with Pringles seemed like the perfect next step in plant-based innovation for MorningStar Farms.

“We’re excited to build upon the success of our most recent product launches and bring Chik’n Fries into MorningStar Farms versatile plant-based lineup, tapping into Pringles fun and distinct flavour profile for a groundbreaking matchup. We’ll continue to show our audience that you don’t have to sacrifice taste to eat plant-based, whether you do it full-time or occasionally.”

Mauricio Jenkins, US marketing lead for Pringles added: “Pringles is known for its crisp crunch, iconic can and flavour combinations, and we are excited to give the fans a new way to experience the brand outside of snacking occasions.

“This partnership with MorningStar Farms brings the well-known and loved Pringles flavour into the plant-based space with chik’n fries, a fun and delicious mashup.”

The original flavoured vegan chickn fries will hit shelves in March and the Pringles Scorchin’ Cheddar Cheeze in fall.

Morningstar  will also debut a new breakfast item alongside  the vegan chickn fries.

Launching later this year, the new Breakfast Bites feature vegan eggs and cheese. The’ delicious feel-good breakfast’  bites will come in two varieties and are said to be the first such plant-based items to launch in retail.
