Princess Beatrice switches to plant-based diet and throws vegan birthday party

Share

Princess Beatrice, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, has switched to a plant-based diet, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Reportedly, the royal is throwing a dinner party for her 31st birthday next month with a fully vegan three course menu and cake. The event will be catered by The Admirable Crichton.

Plant-based royals

The royal family are increasingly adopting a more plant-based lifestyle. Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has influenced Prince Harry into adopting a plant-based diet on weekdays, and the couple have their own vegetable garden.

Prince Charles, heir-apparent to the throne, also has regular meat-free days, according to the Daily Express

However, despite their plant-based health concerns, the Royals are no friends to animals, with Princes Charles, William, and Harry all participating in their regular Boxing Day Hunt this past Christmas. In fact, the Queen herself was spotted clubbing a bird to death with her walking stick.
