Disneyland has announced that it is preparing to launch its official plant-based menu in the spring of 2020.

The iconic entertainment park has been listening to its guests revealed Culinary Director, John State.

Speaking to  ABC 7, State said: “We’re inspired by their feedback, going back into the kitchen, working on creating, innovating and introducing new flavors that just happen to be plant-based.

“Plant-based is what our guests are looking for,”

Some plant-based dishes such al pastor marinated cauliflower tacos, cape gooseberries, and bulgogi-style plant-based sausage are already been served at certain Disney destinations.

“It really ties into where the land is and what the characters are,” State added.

State picked potato flautas available at Lamplight Lounge as his favorite and a “hidden gem,” predicting that “ It’s probably becoming the most popular dish on the menu.”

With the new items being added, all plant-based options on the resort’s menu will be labeled with a leaf icon to make choices simpler.
