“We’re proud to be donating over 17,000 Hu Products to Hospitals all around the US,” wrote the vegan brand on Instagram.

“Some of us on the Hu team have loved ones that are risking their lives here in NYC to help fight this disease — so this one hits close to home.

“? From all of us at Hu, thank you SuperHumans for all you do.”

In addition, Hu announced that it would match purchases of its grain-free crackers with donations to two local New York City food banks, City Harvest and Rethink Food NYC.

The project has been highly appreciated with donors pitching in to help. In another post, Hu wrote: “We’re proud to share we’ve sent out 500 additional products since the announcement in an effort to show as much love to all of you as possible.

“Please keep the amazing photos and videos coming, they’re truly bringing light to these very dark times.

“?As always, thank you to the healthcare workers and first responders who are working tirelessly and showing true humanity, humility, and hustle. We can all learn a lot from you.”
