Leading UK restaurant brand PizzaExpress has launched a vegan version of its house dressing to accompany a new plant-based mezze pizza.

The vegan version of the award-winning House Light Dressing will be available at restaurants and in Asda from April 11.

The non-vegan version of Pizza Express’ house dressing has been a favourite for consumers, and was voted Britain’s number one branded salad dressing.

A spokesperson for the company told Totally Vegan Buzz: “The delicious dressing has been carefully crafted to replicate the classic PizzaExpress House Light Dressing.

“It is flavoursome, creamy, and full of herbs for a deliciously versatile addition to any dish -whether used as a dip or a dressing, the choice is yours.

“And, it goes without saying: you don’t need to be vegan to love it. “

The dressing will only set customers back £1.99, and can be used to accompany PizzaExpress’ extensive vegan options at its restaurants – including the new mezze pizza which features chargrilled aubergine, spicy harissa, and hummus.

The restaurant menu also features a new hummus and flatbread starter option.

The dressing joins the Vegan Giardiniera pizza in company’s retail range.

PizzaExpress now has over 600 restaurants globally and sells over 35 million pizzas in UK supermarkets every year.
