Vegan pizza restaurant chain Purezza has launched a festive calzone – wrapping traditional Christmas roast ingredients in sourdough.

The company, which has restaurants in Brighton and London, UK, launched the Christmas Calzone to kick off the festive period in style.

“Heads up guys, the long-awaited moment is here. The Christmas Calzone is LIVE,” the restaurant posted on its Facebook page.

“Picture a Christmas roast wrapped in sourdough and then add a little extra deliciousness. Packed with roast potatoes, Sgaia’s Vegan Meats Salami, Mozzarella 2.0, sage and onion stuffing, rosemary and gravy. Finished with your choice of cranberry or chilli jam.

“Whether you’ve already decked the halls with boughs of holly, or you’re a complete Scrooge, this is one Christmas tradition we can all get behind.”

Purezza claims to be the UK’s first vegan pizzeria, after being founded in 2015. The company has developed its own rice-based mozzarella and cashew cheese.
