Aldi launches Greggs inspired vegan steak bakes

Supermarket Aldi has expanded its vegan range with a new Plant Menu No Steak Bake launch.

Aldi has launched its very own vegan steak bake following Greggs cue, who introduced its version in January.

According to the supermarket, its new frozen Plant Menu No Steak bake resembles a classic steak bake in appearance and taste and will appeal to its customers since the existing vegan snack is already increasingly popular within the community.

Announcing the new product, the retailer said: “In an Aldi first, the supermarket is bringing the infamous bakery shop favourite- the vegan steak bake- to stores near you.”

“The end result is so delicious; you definitely won’t miss the real thing.”

The No steak bake is made using soya protein and is stuffed in a golden, crisp and flaky vegan pastry using a blend of vegetable oils.

The new vegan delight will cost less than £1.20 for a pack of two and is stocked in the freezer aisles of all Aldi stores.
