British sneaker brand LØCI has launched a new line of vegan sneakers made from corn leather.
According to the eco-luxury unisex footwear brand, its innovative corn leather sneakers are as ‘resistant and durable’ as real animal leather – and eco-friendly as well.
The latest range is made from a unique blend of 50% corn waste and 50% recycled polyurethane that is 63% biodegradable. Moreover, each handcrafted pair has 100% natural rubber soles, 100% recycled foam midsoles, and natural cork insoles in a bid to offer the most eco-conscious and fashion-forward footwear in the market.
The collection is available in both high-tops and low-tops and in a variety of colours including black and white sneakers.
LØCI – the brand
Loci was established in 2021 by two London-based entrepreneurs and footwear specialists.
Emmanuel Eribo and Philippe Homsy launched the brand to provide a premium alternative for eco-conscious yet fashionable footwear.

As a purpose-driven brand, LØCI has always sought materials that help reduce global pollution such as recycled ocean plastic and now maize. Furthermore, the brand will donate 10% of all its online profits from the Maize collection to Re: Wild, a wildlife charity actively fighting against biodiversity loss worldwide.
“We believe that the measure of our success lies in the magnitude of our impact,” Emmanuel Eribo, CEO of LØCI said.
“Today, it is crucial to go beyond creating exceptional products; we are here to drive change. That is why it is always imperative for us to think differently and swim against the tide.”

In a short span of time, the brand has become immensely popular among celebrities including Mila Kunis, Eva Longoria, Jessica Alba, Ben Affleck, Ed Sheeran, Robert Downey Jr., and Emmy Rossum,
The brand also has actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio on its investor roster. Last year, he backed the brand in a £4 million seed round.
“I am proud to be an investor in Løci, a brand dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact, and centred around creating cruelty-free, ethical footwear,” DiCaprio said at the time.
The corn sneakers are available for purchase on LØCI’s website with prices starting from £175.
