Oatly just launched its vegan strawberry ice cream at Tesco

The Swedish vegan dairy-free brand continues to expand its frozen dessert line in the UK with a new strawberry flavoured ice cream.

Oatly has launched its New Strawberry Oatly Ice Cream at Tesco, revealed Vegan Food UK- an online organization that shares vegan food news, reviews, and more. 

With an Instagram post, the group announced: “New Strawberry Oatly Ice Cream at Tesco!!! ???.

“Strawberry is an awesome flavour of #veganicecream.”

In the post, the group also requested Oatly to launch its mint chocolate chip ice cream in the UK. The flavour is currently available in the US.

The strawberry ice cream will sell for £4.50 at all Tesco stores.

The new flavour is an addition to three vegan ice cream flavours already launched by the company- Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl and Salted Caramel.

‘Going to be great’

The news was welcomed on social media.

“As soon as I saw this I added it to my tesco shopping delivery for tomorrow!? finally a flavour for us non chocolate lovers,” wrote one Instagram user.

“Oatly is my fav non dairy brand. I have a feeling this is going to be great!!!” another added.

“Forget toilet rolls I’m gonna stockpile this for when the ?‍♀️ come,” read a third comment.

Vegan Ice-creams

This month, a number of ice cream brands have launched new vegan flavours in a bid to cater to the growing demand for plant-based options.

While Magnum launched vegan sea salt caramel ice cream in the US, artisan ice cream company Owowcow launched its new OWOW(NO)COW Vegan Ice Cream line with 3 flavors, which include vegan vanilla salted caramel, I hate vegan chocolate and vegan golden milk in its Easton store in Pennsylvania.
