Ben & Jerry’s has launched a whole new line of “non-dairy frozen dessert,” made from sunflower seeds.
While the ice cream brand’s previous non-dairy offerings were made from almond milk, it has experimented with sunflower butter for the new range.
The new range includes three flavours: milk & cookies, crème brûlée, and mint chocolate cookie and are just as thick, creamy and flavorful like all the other pints of B&J’s.
“Plant-based eating is one of the biggest trends in the world and ice cream lovers everywhere have shouted for non-dairy/vegan options that rise to the levels of Ben & Jerry’s euphoric awesomeness,” said CEO Matthew McCarthy in a statement.
“I am over-the-moon excited that our Flavor Gurus have churned out something funky and chunky that is nothing short of spectacular.”

The brand’s social media announcement has left several drooling in delight.
“Omg !!!!!! Am I crying!? most excited for mint chocolate cookie ?,” wrote one user.
“HOLY COW THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR TODAY ???,” exclaimed another.
“This has made my day ??,” added a third.
The new vegan flavours follow close on the heels of the brand’s Netflix & Chill’d launch taking the total of B&J ‘s non-dairy flavours to 17, which is over 25% of the company’s flavor lineup.
The Vermont based ice cream innovator is also launching a vegan flavor Cold Brew Coffee Fudge Chip, which includes a cold brew ice cream with fudge flakes and a fudge swirl across its scoop shops nationwide.
Embroiled in a recent lawsuit, the company removed its claim of sourcing milk from “humane” suppliers and “happy cows” after being sued for deceptive marketing strategies.
