The non-dairy oat-based crumbles are perfect as topping for salads, pizzas, and more.
Plant-based brand Daiya has rolled out two new dairy-free products for the Canadian market: Goat Cheeze Flavour Crumbles and Feta Cheeze Flavour Crumbles.
The oat-flour-based products come in a tub pack format that is resealable, recyclable, and conveniently pre-crumbled.
According to the brand, the latest offerings are the only crumbled oat flour-based cheese products on the market, giving them a rich and creamy texture that sets them apart from other plant-based options.
“We are thrilled to introduce our new Goat Cheeze and Feta Cheeze Flavour Crumbles to the Canadian market,” Melanie Domer, Daiya Foods’ chief marketing officer said.
“We pride ourselves on offering delicious and innovative cheesy plant-based products, and these new crumbles are no exception. Made with oat flour, both products offer a rich and creamy texture that is unlike anything else on the market.”
‘Plant-based is now mainstream’
Daiya has significantly increased its plant-based portfolio in recent times to cater to the growing consumer appetite for plant-based food.
It currently offers premium, plant-based foods in cheese formats including blocks, shreds, slices, sticks, cream cheese-style spreads, and cheese sauces. It also has a line of cheese-forward products like Pizza, Mac & Cheese, and Frozen Cheesecake.
“Plant-based is no longer a fringe movement – it is now mainstream. Today’s consumers have an appetite for foods that not only taste great but are also better for themselves as well as the planet,” Michael Lynch, former CEO of Daiya said.
“At Daiya, we’re addressing this demand by unveiling the most expansive and crave-worthy portfolio of plant-based foods in the market.”
Daiya’s new cheese products retail for $6.49 per tub and can be found within the deli or dairy aisle at Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Sobeys, and Safeway across the country.
