So just my opinion but if you shop at any supermarket you are encouraging animal death…
so we all make compromises and don’t walk down the chickens and beef aisle. Being realistic we need to do basic things that our pets need. I buy cat food that contains chicken as they need meat. I cannot force our cats to go vegan as they need the meat nutritionally. 3 rescued cats are better off with us now and happy so that makes us happy. Shopping at McDs if they do a vegan burger is similar. Evil corporation BUT very vegan burger sold means less animals killed. That makes sense.
Hey, it’s important to realize that Pet Smart does do bad things with their money, but they also spend money on things that are good, so try and focus on that .
In my opinion you should grow some balls and fuck your partner in the bum and let your dog watch so it can see what a dog getting fucked looks like
Don’t go somewhere/do something that makes you so uncomfortable or goes against your morals. You can control your choices, you are in charge of your life and decisions, no one else. No one.
No you’re not bad – just misguided. It’s not your fault that you get pressured, but one day you’ll put your foot down saying you don’t want this anymore and will change.
not everyone is greedy and evil at PetSmart. The nearest one to me has an adoption section of cats and the people who run it are vegan. They give abandoned animals a new life – and they helped tens of millions get rescued! Who else has those numbers? They also give these pets crucial surgeries they need among other necessary actions to help animals. Sometimes they rescue kitten litters off the streets towards a good home. If you go in and spend all your money at least do it in a vegan way – by donating to the adoption center – to help people adopt these pets sooner!
Pet shops where I live can only sell shelter dogs and cats. Maybe there’s a law where you live that requires PetSmart to do something similar that’s vegan!
Maybe you can tell your partner that you have a genius idea that you want to buy from petsmart to give to the nearby animal shelter or some other vegan idea. I bet you’ll figure out something.
Just because something seems bad doesn’t mean it actually is – that goes for you and where you shop. Instead of hating and wanting to destroy what’s been demonized – instead turn a negative into a positive and help out set these places in the right direction with your initiative! Eventually if done in a way that even PetSmart approves, maybe they’ll jump on board and help out. Then that desire to do better for animals becomes infectious!
