Wu-Tang Clan member RZA has launched a vegan puffer down-free jacket made from recycled ocean plastic.
RZA’s clothing brand 36 Chambers has teamed up with German vegan outerwear brand Embassy of Bricks and Logs and PETA to release a limited-edition of a Flying Guillotine Puffer Jacket named after the Taiwanese film “Master of the Flying Guillotine.”
The winter jacket is down-free and uses material made out of recycled plastic bottles removed from the ocean.
The coat lining has a vibrant, patterned design made from 100% recycled polyester and the hood is embossed with the words ‘Our Heads No Longer Belong to Us’.
Apart from being vegan, RZA is a passionate animal rights campaigner. He believes that with technology, cruelty for warmth is redundant.
“As we evolve as a people through technology and ingenuity, we have the ability through humane ways to fashion garments that not only serve our purpose but also, more importantly, abandon the unnecessary cruelty to animals,” said RZA in a statement.
“While down items harm animals and the planet, this warm, trendy vegan coat made with 100 percent recycled ocean plastic will help PETA save animals,” added PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman.
“The Flying Guillotine Puffer Jacket is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to wear their heart on their sleeve this winter.”
The jacket costs about $336 and 36 Chambers will donate 15% of the profits to PETA.

The cruelty-free brand was formed in 2016 and the company has made a variety of vegan products since its inception.
Last month, the company launched limited edition vegan wallets made from banana leaves in passport and fold-styles.
