By now, you’ve probably heard about the world’s first entirely vegan, sustainable luxury hotel & animal sanctuary – but if you haven’t, I suggest you read about this incredible initiative here.

Not only will PlantLife be a vegan tropical haven for luxury travel seekers, but the resort will also be a haven for rescued animals. PlantLife have partnered with animal shelters, sanctuaries and rescuers on Koh Phangan, to find animals who are most in need of a home; they like to be thought of us as a halfway home for animals that are recovered, vaccinated, neutered and spayed but are awaiting their forever home! Unlike most sanctuaries with limited space and resources, all of PlantLife’s resident animals will be free to roam the entire 19,200 sqm resort, and adoptable if guests take a shine to them.

The number of rescued cats and other furry residents will total 100; so with such a hefty haul of kitties and other loveable critters, every single one will need love and attention.

Once PlantLife are operational, they will need a full-time ‘Floof-Minder’, a dedicated animal lover – to ensure that each animal receives the love and care that they deserve. The hotel is planning to open in June 2020, so you’ve got plenty of time to hand in your notice.

PlantLife are currently in the crowd-funding stages of their development and need all of our support to open their doors. Excited vegans, animal lovers and generally ‘woke’ people have shared and viewed the campaign far and wide, one reader commenting ‘I would give up my first born child just to go here’… But with such an ambitious target to reach, PlantLife need more backers to get involved otherwise this dream will remain just that.

If the $870K USD target isn’t met, the campaign will close, and the backers refunded. BUT if the campaign reaches even the most hidden parts of the vegan community, and they share it with their like-minded friends and family, then together, we can be a part of something extraordinary.
