New York City based Milk Makeup has launched a new vegan moisturizer using hydrating plants that thrive in extreme climates.
The clean beauty brand has formulated its first cream moisturizer blending four vegan milks such as oat, argan, fig, and a desert milk prototype derived from Kalahari melon, baobab, jojoba, and aloe vera-these ingredients are known to have super water absorbing and retention capacities.
The brand explains that while desert milk has hydrating and moisture-locking benefits; fig milk helps soften and replenishes the skin. Oat milk, on the other hand, offers calming and comforting properties and argan milk provides antioxidants that help keep the skin supple and healthy.
Other important ingredients that potentiate the moisturizer include shea butter, grapeseed oil, and olive-derived squalane.
The moisturizer is free from gluten, paraben, talc, silicone, sulfate and artificial fragrance. It has been formulated to be gentle enough for sensitive skin types and is cruelty-free.
The moisturizer comes in a vibrant lime-green chartreuse skincare jar and is packed mini in a 0.53-ounce container for $19 or 1.7 ounces for $38.
Customers can order the product online at Milk Makeup and Sephora and in stores from December 26.
The brand’s official announcement on Instagram was welcomed with thousands of likes and comments.
“Who’s your creative director?? Such an inspiration ❤️❤️❤️,” wrote a user.
“It’s so bomb for my dry skin ? I used it last night & my skin looks so smoothhhh,” commented a happy customer.
“Bought or tried almost all of your skincare line and I’m a believer,” added a third.
