Pizza giant Pizza Express has expanded its vegan range with the addition of three plant-based dishes this autumn.
The company has announced the new menu includes a cheesy vegan Calzone Verdure and a Baked Garlic Mushroom stuffed with vegan cheese. Pizza Express also says the new Risotto con Funghi can be veganised.
The new dishes will be available alongside the restaurant’s extensive vegan offer at more than 400 locations in the UK.
The brand has been consistently expanding its vegan range to meet the growing demands of the vegan market.

Chairman and CEO, Jinlong Wang, said: “Our vegan offering has grown in popularity as we add additional items to the menu.”
Senior Marketing Manager, Timothy Love added in a statement: “A shift in consumer behaviour inspired the launch. Almost a third of all evening meals eaten in the UK are now vegetarian or vegan.”
Customers can now enjoy the popular Calzone Verdure, which comes stuffed with roasted peppers, aubergine, courgette, spinach, smoky tomato harissa, hot chilli, tomato and garlic, topped with rosemary.
The vegan cheese-stuffed mushroom is a new entry in the starter/side dish category.
The baked dish is gluten free and includes a whole Portobello mushroom filled with garlic and vegan mozzarella; seasoned with rosemary and smoky tomato harissa and served with rocket, pine kernels and balsamic sauce.
The new Risotto con Funghi features a creamy white wine risotto with Portobello mushrooms, pine kernels and garlic oil, topped with rocket and parsley. The dish is not listed in the vegan menu of Pizza Express’ website, but the company announced the dish can be made vegan.
According to its menu update, PizzaExpress has also included the vegan and gluten-free Chocolate & Amaretto Parfait along with an extensive vegan dessert list this season.
