“We are delighted to incorporate a vegan main course choice to our on-board menu.”
Qatar Airways has launched an entire range of à la carte vegan dishes for its business class passengers flying from the airline’s Doha hub, Hamad International Airport, and selected flights into Doha.
The multiple award-winning carrier has redesigned its menu to meet the growing demand for animal-free food.
The very tasty looking meals made using only the freshest locally and internationally sourced ingredients, include smoked moutabel, spiral courgettes and arrabbiata sauce, tofu and spinach tortellini, Asian barbecue tofu, noodles, scallions and shiitake, fried tofu with vegetable tajine, cauliflower couscous and kalamata bruschetta, and a chickpea flour omelet.
‘Authentic and indulgent experience’
“We are delighted to incorporate a vegan main course choice to our on-board menu,” said Mr Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways.
“We always strive to provide our customers with authentic and indulgent experiences in the skies.”
While the new menu is squarely aimed at passengers travelling premium, the airline highlights that various meal options, including vegan meals, are available to all passengers regardless of their class of travel. For instance, economy class customers can continue to pre-order special vegan meals ahead of travel.
