“As more people go vegan and vegetarian, we want to make sure they can find love along the way with likeminded people.”
Veggly, the top dating app for vegans and vegetarians, now has more than 200,000 members in over 181 countries.
Within a year, membership on the app, which is extremely popular among adults in the 25-34 age group, has seen an eight-fold increase from its 25,000 users in 2019.
Another milestone for the niche dating app includes hitting 500,000 “Veg Matches” (where users match with each other), and the Founder, Alex Felipelli, predicts this number will cross one million by early 2021.
World’s best city for vegan dating
According to data recently released by the team, London ranks as top city globally for vegan dating, with Lisbon, and Amsterdam coming in second and third respectively.
The US has the most Veggly members (40,000) in any single country despite not having a city in the top three.
The app is currently available in 8 languages including Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Italian, Danish and Polish, with more languages on the way.
‘Accessible to everyone’
“It’s great to see so many thriving hotspots for vegans and vegetarians looking for love across the world,” Felipelli commented.
“Our mission is to help these hotspots grow and build new ones by making the Veggly app accessible to everyone, no matter where they are.
“As more people go vegan and vegetarian, we want to make sure they can find love along the way with likeminded people. That’s why we’ll continue investing and updating the app with new features every month, available for all countries.”
