‘We know caramel is a flavour that many vegan and free from consumers have been missing out on…’
Popular UK vegan chocolate brand NOMO has launched caramel-filled chocolate drops for the upcoming festive season.
The new chocolate is made using non-dairy creamy chocolate with a delicious vegan caramel filling. The gooey sweet treats are not only free of egg and gluten but are also perfect for those with nut allergies.
Popular food blog Vegan Food UK spotted the new chocolate drop trays at Sainsburys for £5.
The free-from chocolate brand plans to roll out the caramel drops to Tesco, Waitrose, Amazon and NOMO’s online shop from October onwards so that customers can celebrate the festive season with the new caramel treats this year.
Caramel Choc Bar
NOMO has also released the same flavour in a bar format, which will be on Sainsbury’s shelves by the end of this month.
“One of our aims at NOMO is to develop mainstream flavours that we know customers will love regardless of whether they are vegan or have a food allergy,” Emma Perrett, senior innovation and brand manager of Kinnerton Confectionery said.
“We know caramel is a flavour that many vegan and free from consumers have been missing out on, so we are delighted that the Caramel Choc Bar will be available in Sainsbury’s from the end of September.”
‘Consumers will love it’
Alison Deane, buyer – Free From at Sainsbury’s added: “We are thrilled to be the first to market with the Caramel Choc Bar, further adding to our vegan and free from product range and complementing our current range of NOMO products.
We are always looking for new, exciting products which we feel consumers will love and we think the NOMO Caramel Choc Bar will do just that”.
