British chocolate brand Love Cocoa has launched a vegan luxury egg as its forays into the grocery sector.
Love Cocoa founded by James Cadbury, has launched a vegan friendly Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Luxury Egg in Ocado.
The egg is hand made with ” crunchy sea salt flakes sourced from Maldon in Essex and blended with organic, fair-trade 70% cacao dark chocolate from Nacional in Ecuador.”
The vegan egg is free from palm oil free and packed in 100% recyclable and plastic-free packaging.
Priced at £10.95 per 150g product, you can purchase the ‘luxury’ confectionary from Ocado, Fenwick, Liberty and Love Cocoa.
Cameroon tree planting campaign
Staying true to its ethical and sustainable roots, the company has partnered with charity Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every product sold as part of its ‘One Bar, One Tree’ campaign.
The company hopes to make a difference in the lives of both cocoa farmers and the environment with its Cameroon tree planting campaign.
“This launch represents exciting times for the Love Cocoa brand, bringing our award-winning flavours and unique designs to the masses via Ocado,” said James Cadbury, who is also the great-great-great-grandson of chocolatier John Cadbury.
“We are also proud to be partnering with Trees for the Future and are committed to planting 500,000 trees in 2020, helping local communities in West Africa badly affected by deforestation.”
