‘You’d never know they’re plant-based and packed with clean protein to keep you fueled’
Vegan snack brand Outstanding Foods, maker of popular PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds just completed a $5M round of financing led by SternAegis Ventures.
The brand, which is known for creating healthy snacks that can be enjoyed mindfully without sacrificing taste or texture will invest the capital in developing new vegan snacks. The additional funds will facilitate nationwide marketing, retail expansion, and team development.
In addition, NBA player JaVale McGee also joined the brand adding to the impressive list of celebrity investors, which includes rapper Snoop Dogg, former skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, and actress Daniella Monet.
The CEO and co-founder of Outstanding Foods, Bill Glaser said in a statement: “This funding provides us with the opportunity to reach more consumers and give them more ways to snack on great-tasting, healthy, plant-based snacks.
“Consumers have been freaking out over our PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds that are Addictively Delicious and have the same protein content as beef. Soon they’ll be able to experience other Outstanding snacks that we feel will be game changers!”
The brand also hopes that the new partnership with JaVale McGee, who has been a vegan for four years and thrives on plant-based foods, will prove to other athletes, fans, and the world that a healthy protein-packed snack can be both nutritious and delicious.
“PigOut Rinds are one of the best snacks I’ve tried,” said McGee. “You’d never know they’re plant-based and packed with clean protein to keep you fueled. I’m excited to join their team.”To celebrate the partnership, McGee announced to his 1.7 million fans that he is giving away a year’s supply of PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds and a signed jersey free and fans can enter for a chance to win by following a few instructions.
